Help & FAQ

Quick answers about editing, organizing, and processing your PDFs.

Are my documents uploaded?

PDF tools are designed to process selected files in your browser. Your file is not sent to a SecureViewPDF processing service. The website itself is delivered by its hosting provider; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I replace existing text in a PDF?

Yes, for a limited set of PDFs. The Edit PDF tool can directly replace a unique, supported text run in the PDF content. Scanned text, split or ambiguous runs, and unsupported fonts are not supported. It rejects unsupported matches rather than covering the original with a visual overlay.

Can I resize a table or reflow the page?

No. Direct text replacement changes the supported text value but does not rebuild the page layout. Table borders, columns, rows, and surrounding content stay in place; a longer replacement may be fitted to the original text area.

Does compression always make a PDF smaller?

No. Compression rebuilds pages as images. Depending on the source and quality setting, the output may be larger and will not preserve selectable text, links, forms, or vector detail.

Why will my PDF not open or process?

The file may be damaged, password-protected, unsupported, or too large for the available device memory. Try a valid, unprotected PDF with fewer pages or a smaller file.

Can SecureViewPDF password-protect or unlock my file?

Not currently. Those tools are not available, so do not rely on SecureViewPDF to add or remove PDF passwords.
